My latest blog giving my thoughts and answers most theories and interests in Chaplins Time Traveler 
georgeclarke.webs.com (Dont have time to make a new video at the min sorry – November 1st 2011) This short film is about a piece of footage I (George Clarke) found behind the scenes in Charlie Chaplins film ‘The Circus’. Attending the premiere at Manns Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, CA – the scene shows a large woman dressed in black with a hat hiding most of her face, with what can only be described as a mobile phone device – talking as she walks alone. I have studied this film for over a year now – showing it to over 100 people and at a film festival, yet no-one can give any explanation as to what she is doing. My only theory – as well as many others – is simple… a time traveler on a mobile phone. See for yourself and feel free to leave a comment on your own explanation or thoughts about it. Hello,yes > he < is a Time Traveler.Its a Communication device used to report back to the others at the Time Machine and to record your daily progress.You also can take pictures and video events around you to be studied later.Note: He caught hell for being seen by the camera. Just a guess

Maybe she’s one of those people that went crazy (considering she/he’s old) and thought she was talking into something or it turns out she got an idea of something from the future and tried to like, advertise it. Or maybe it was something the director came up with just to get people thinking…like you

Duhh! its obvious… she’s an alien talking to her satelite phone to gather intel for their plot in conquering the earth!

simply she tries to cower her face up out of shyness, as people do when they don’t want to be filmed and at the end when she turns she (with a shy smile) shouts out to a camera men “stop filming me”(read lips) .her fingers are bent as if she is holding something only because she is waring a hat! however real time travel did take place on uss eldridge in 1943 .
