This short video explores ways to determine if your cell phone has been compromised to act as a bug. While it’s obviously unlikely that this would happen to most people, it was recently revealed that the FBI has used this technique, and just as illicit wiretaps are possible, illicit cell phone bugging could also occur. This video is based on Lauren Weinstein’s December 2006 blog entry: “How To Tell If Your Cell Phone Is Bugged”.

i have been hearing the same male voice very clearly whispering things like “i love you” on my cell phone and i just got the phone like a month ago. I am scared. can someone please help me determine if someone is intercepting my phone or not?! Thank you.

Yo im bein tapped by this FBI guy. So today i called my friend and i heard the buzz and was like what the hell then 2mins later i got a call from a guy who said they worked for the fbi and they asked if i could talk to my dad and i told him no. then like 20mins ago my friend called me and was like wtf and hung up and txted me and told me my phone was bein tapped and like 2 mins later the same guy who said they worked for the fbi called me again but this time i didnt pick up. what do i do?
